The images featured in my fashion magazine should create a strong sense of style and branding.
I must feature a diverse range of fashion issues and styles.
As a result, it is important that I think carefully about the locations and styling of the images.
First Edition:
The photo shoot for the first edition of my fashion magazine will take place in Montpelier in Bristol. Montpelier is the home of the cover star of the edition, Emma Symon. It is therefore a part of her character which is being represented. It is helpful that it is officially the 'hippest' place in the UK as it will provide a variety of choices for cool, unique settings.
It is vital that the clothing worn by Symon reflects her personality, and for that reason she will be wearing a dress that she already owns (chosen with my guidance). As she will be the focal point of all the images she must be distinguishable from the, most likely, busy backgrounds found in Montpelier. This will be achieved by having her wear more muted colours which contrast the bright buildings and graffiti walls found in the area, also achieving the clean, simple look expected from 'a fresh start'.
Second Edition:
The location for the second photo shoot for my fashion magazine is simply the Royal Wootton Bassett Academy sports field, very unlike the location for the first. The images gained from this photo shoot are based less on the cover star and their character, and more on the fashion and concept, hence the obscure location - with the right angles, the images from this photo shoot will just appear to be from a green space.
The clothing Catheline and Cook will be wearing for their photo shoot is a different look to that worn by Symon to showcase how my fashion magazine is not limited to certain styles. The fashion is more of a focus as part of a feature which is not based on the person. The 'heat wave' idea and fact it is the Summer 2018 issue of my fashion magazine means the more casual clothing will be obviously for the summer season - a t shirt/short sleeved shirt and shorts - and both models will be matching through a common colour in their outfits.
