Inspiration: A Moodboard

Writer's picture: Sophie HodgettsSophie Hodgetts

I have numerous ideas for the fashion magazine I am going to create.

Making a moodboard which features different aspects I have thought about provides me with a visual representation of what my fashion magazine could look like.

There is a variety of content in the above moodboard. The main focus is, of course, fashion. Topshop is an example of a high street shop which anyone could use to replicate the styles of designers such as Dolce and Gabbana. No one should feel unable to read or be featured in my fashion magazine - males and females, different ages (16-25), different ethnicities. Whilst fashion will be at the centre of every edition, there will also be features on beauty/grooming, health, travel and lifestyle. These can stand alone, or be linked to different styles. A basic black and white colour palette will be consistently used in every edition, with details of different colour palettes that represent each season for each edition.
